  • Served as coordinator of all services to participants in month long courses to train teachers, counselors, and psychiatrists to provide post-trauma care to the children of the Bosnian war and the Oklahoma City bombing
  • Planned, coordinated, and implemented housing, meals, health care, transportation, recreation, travel and translation assistance for thirty participants both years
  • Participants arrived in Columbia in 1995 for the first training directly from the war zone in Bosnia. The Oklahoma City teachers arrived shortly after the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building
  • Provided 24 hour-a-day assistance to the participants for a myriad of needs interfacing with academic, medical, and community resources
  • Worked with journalists to provide television, newspaper, and publication coverage of the project on a local, regional, and national basis
